About the Event

The Hawaiian shamanic massage known as Lomi lomi, is a spiritual healing tradition originally passed down within families and experienced in the sacred settings of a temple. It wasn’t until recent times that this beautiful and powerful practice was taught to non- Hawaiian’s and made its way into continental United States among healing practitioners.

But what does it mean to have a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Shamanic Massage? The ancient Hawaiian people viewed life in terms of energy flow; and that a belief or idea could block your flow. The movements and process of Lomi are designed to invite you into a spiritual state of releasing anything that is no longer serves you in order to receive more of your soul’s energy. Lomi includes the sacred chants (Mele), prayers (Pule) as well as Aloha Spirit. Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is more than a physical massage,it is a sacred healing journey restoring you to wholeness.

During this workshop, Melissa will share about the history, benefits and techniques of this profound method of body work as well as give a hot stone demonstration.
